MORNING	Meeting at a time and place to be determined
	Monastery of the Saviour of Travanca The Monastery of Travanca, considered one of the most important Benedictine temples in the country, represents one of the most rhythmic spaces of Romanesque architecture in Portugal. The tower, which should date from the late 13th century or early 14th century, deserves special attention for being one of our highest medieval towers.
	Lunch at the restaurant Casa Silva
AFTERNOON	Church of Saint Mary of Gondar It belonged to a monastery for nuns of the Order of Saint Benedict, founded in the 12th century. Despite the transformations it underwent in the 18th century, the original plant of this Church is a good testimony of late Romanesque architecture.
	Historical Centre of Amarante The typical streets, the Convent of Saint Gonçalo and the bridge over the river Tâmega will certainly surprise you! The famous convent pastry of Amarante, available in the local bakeries, will awaken your gluttony...

MORNING	Breakfast at the hotel
	Alvão Natural Park and Our Lady of Grace Across these mountains of wide horizons and breathtaking landscapes, many villages found their settlement. Among the masses of rock emerge fields of rye, corn, potatoes, and meadows where the “maronês” (from Marão) cattle grazes...
	Church of Saint Mary of Veade This Church maintains only some portions of the Romanesque period of significant importance which may be dated from the late 12th century or beginning of following one. Noteworthy is the north side portal, the series of capitals and some ornamented voussoirs inside.
	Lunch at the restaurant A Forca
AFTERNOON	Castle of Arnoia Castle built during the Romanesque period, featuring characteristic elements of the military architecture of that period, as the watchtower which is crowned by merlons and surrounding path. In its Interpretive Centre you will learn how the tower was built.
	House of Pascoaes An authentic museum that houses the estate of the poet Teixeira de Pascoaes, born in Amarante.

	Mountain of Aboboreira and Archaeological Park Funerary monuments, built during the Neolithic, dot the landscape of the Mountain of Aboboreira. These dolmens were built with stones superimposed in a more or less vertical position...
	Eça de Queiroz Foundation Learn about the life and work of Eça de Queiroz by visiting the House of Tormes, the setting of the book "A Cidade e as Serras" (“The City and the Mountains”).
	Bridge of Panchorra Following the tradition of ancient models, this Bridge is a remarkable work of vernacular engineering. Set in a place of great landscape value, in the middle of the Mountain of Montemuro, the Bridge has a double round arch over the river Cabrum.
	Lunch at the restaurante Recanto dos Carvalhos
AFTERNOON	Walk from the Mountain of Montemuro to Caldas de Aregos Admire the beauty that rises at your feet. At the bottom of the slope you will see the town surrounded by lush fields, with the Cabrum running across, revealing, here and there, a house of whitewashed walls, contracting with its thatched roof.
	Boat trip till Porto Antigo A magnificent journey between lush slopes of the river bank and the rippling of the calm waters of the river Douro.
